Welcome to AskBuddha, a meditation and reflection app developed by Wyreframe Labs (OPC) Private Limited under the PRTCL10 division (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how we keep your practice private. AskBuddha is local-first: with a single exception — the Ask Buddha chat — everything you create stays on your device.

Our Privacy Philosophy
Your inner life is yours. We minimise what we collect, avoid tracking entirely, and keep your journal, meditations and progress on your own device.
Data Stored On Your Device
The following never leaves your phone unless you explicitly export or back it up:
- Journal entries and reflection notes
- Mood logs
- Meditation and practice history
- Streaks and path progress
- Daily-teaching state and preferences
- Reminder settings
You can export all of this as a JSON file at any time, and remove it by deleting the app.
The Ask Buddha Chat
The one feature that uses the network is Ask Buddha. When you send a message, that message is transmitted securely to our processing function (hosted on Supabase) and on to the OpenAI API to generate a reply.
- Only the text of your current conversation is sent — nothing else from the app.
- No account, name, email or device identifier is attached to the request.
- Your conversations are not used to train any AI models.
- Messages are processed only to generate your response, not to build a profile of you.
Notifications
AskBuddha uses local notifications only — a daily teaching, gentle practice reminders, and streak nudges — scheduled on your device. We do not operate remote push, and no data is sent anywhere to deliver them.
Subscriptions
Optional supporter subscriptions are sold and processed by the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases; it processes the purchase receipt Apple provides. We never see or store your payment details.
What We Don’t Do
- No ads or third-party trackers
- No analytics profiling
- No selling or renting your data
- No collecting your contacts, files or location

Data Security
- On-device storage using the system’s secure storage
- Secure HTTPS connections for chat requests
- No central database of your entries
Children’s Privacy
AskBuddha is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us at hello@prtcl10.com and we will remove it.
Your Rights & Controls
- Use the full app without creating an account
- Export your data as a file at any time
- Delete everything by uninstalling the app
- Turn reminders off whenever you like

Changes to This Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you via an in-app message or app store update.
