Welcome to AskBuddha (“App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the AskBuddha mobile application. By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use AskBuddha. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
What AskBuddha Is
AskBuddha is an educational and reflective app inspired by Buddhist teachings. It offers guided lessons, timed meditations, a reflection journal, and an AI conversation feature (“Ask Buddha”). It is intended for learning, contemplation and personal growth only.
Not Professional Advice
You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act on anything provided in the App.
AI-Generated Content
Replies in the Ask Buddha feature are generated by artificial intelligence. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, and do not represent the views of any real person, teacher or tradition. Please verify anything important independently.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes
- Misuse or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- Attempt to extract, scrape or reverse-engineer the underlying systems
- Submit content that is harmful, abusive or unlawful
Subscriptions & Payments
AskBuddha may offer optional supporter subscriptions (e.g., monthly, yearly, or lifetime). By subscribing:
- You authorise Apple to charge your account.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions via your Apple App Store account.
- All payments are processed by Apple — we do not store your payment details.
Free Trials
We may offer a free trial for new users. Once the trial ends, you will be charged unless you cancel beforehand. Each user is allowed one free trial per Apple account.
Your Content
Your journal entries, notes and practice data belong to you and stay on your device. Messages you send to Ask Buddha are processed by third-party AI providers solely to generate a reply, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
All content, teaching text, design, branding and code in AskBuddha are the property of Wyreframe Labs (OPC) Private Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
Modifications to the App
We may update, add, remove or discontinue features at any time. We are not liable for any temporary or permanent interruption of service.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AskBuddha and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
