Welcome to Bento (“App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bento mobile application and related services. Bento is developed by Wyreframe Labs (OPC) Private Limited under the PRTCL10 division and is offered globally through the Apple App Store. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Bento. If you are under the age of 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
Health Disclaimer
Bento is a wellness and informational tool, not a medical device or a medical service. Calorie budgets, macro and micronutrient values, tips and AI-generated meal suggestions are provided for general informational purposes only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Nutrition values — especially those produced by AI from text or photos — are estimates and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them for medical decisions. Always consult a qualified physician or registered dietitian before starting any diet or changing your eating habits, particularly if you are pregnant or nursing, under 18, elderly, or have a medical condition or eating disorder. You use Bento and any information it provides at your own risk.
AI-Generated Content
Bento uses third-party artificial intelligence to interpret your meals and generate coaching and plans. Because AI output is probabilistic, it may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent, and the same input may produce different results.
You are responsible for reviewing and editing food blocks and estimates before relying on them; the app is designed to let you correct quantities, units and values. AI output is provided “as is” and is subject to the Health Disclaimer above.
Use of the App
You agree to use Bento only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or access the app's backend proxy other than through the app.
- Submit unlawful, abusive or harmful content, or attempt to bypass safety, rate-limiting or payload controls.
- Use the App for commercial purposes without express permission, or resell or exploit its output.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
We may suspend or limit access to the AI features if we detect abuse, misuse, or activity that threatens the service.
Subscriptions & Payments
Bento offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock additional features. All payments, subscriptions, free trials, renewals and cancellations are handled exclusively through the Apple App Store. We do not directly process or store your payment information.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends; unused trial time is forfeited on purchase.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Purchases are subject to Apple's refund policies; please contact Apple for billing and refund requests.
User Content
You retain ownership of the text, photos and data you submit to Bento. To provide the service, you grant us and our processors a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to process that content solely to generate the results shown to you and to operate the App's features.
Third-Party Services
Bento relies on services operated by others, including Apple (App Store, iCloud, Health), OpenAI (AI processing), RevenueCat (subscription management) and Open Food Facts (barcode lookups). Your use of those features may also be subject to those parties' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or the content they return.
Intellectual Property
All software, design, branding, the “Bento” name, logos and content (other than your own data and inputs) are the property of Wyreframe Labs (OPC) Private Limited or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer or resell any part of the App without prior written permission.
Modifications & Availability
We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue any part of Bento at any time, with or without notice. Features may be added or removed based on platform limitations or design decisions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and are not liable for any temporary or permanent interruption of service.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bento is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that nutrition estimates or AI output will be accurate or reliable.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Bento and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or health outcomes, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App or reliance on any information it provides.
- You assume full responsibility for your dietary decisions and any interpretation of the App's outputs.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Bento if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that could harm users, systems or the service. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may stop using Bento at any time by deleting the app from your device.
Governing Law
Bento is offered to users worldwide. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise. Subject to those mandatory local rights, any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app updates or notices. Your continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
